HOW TO BANYA
1. Find your table in the lounge, then head to the banya. Leave your towel outside, but bring in your sheet. Sit back, warm up and relax. A hat is useful too (cools your head and protects your hair).
2. Cool down in the plunge bath, under water buckets or the shower. Then rehydrate in the lounge, or return to the heat, and repeat…
3. Time for treatments. Try one, two or three: the parenie leaf ritual; soap massage; classic massage; scrub, or wrap.
4. Relax in the lounge, sampling some of our chefs’ home-cooked delights…

WHY BANYA?

Banya is seriously relaxing. Here is the science that explains why.
– Heart warming: switching between hot and cold strengthens your cardiovascular system, boosts your immune system,
and releases adrenaline.
– Breathe: improved blood flow and respiration raise oxygen levels, aiding muscle repair, cell growth and even brain
power.
– Pleasure centred: triggers endorphins, and this sense of wellbeing is magnified if you share the experience.
– Flex: muscles and joints grow more elastic, better able to absorb nutrients and flush away toxins.
– Skin deeper: dilates pores, improves sweat glands, removing dirt and dead cells.
